During my site evaluation, I presented cases I encountered in my pediatrics rotation such as otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, and mycoplasma pneumonia. I chose to speak about mycoplasma pneumonia during my second site evaluation, because I encountered many patients with this in the community that my clinic was in. It was surprising to see that the diagnosis can be made with just serology testing and there was not a need for xray to make the diagnosis. I found the site evaluation to be engaging and challenging, and was questioned on different medications such as diphenhydramine and indomethacin. Overall, I strengthened my skills in presenting, and learned more about pediatrics from professor Maida.
